Debuting with Ed Sheeran, we partnered with music creators to announce Music on WhatsApp Status—

a new feature that allows users to add tunes to their everyday moments, and one of WhatsApp’s biggest launches of 2025. Our campaign came to life via fun social Reels that blended the app’s UI with real environments, showing viewers how to use the new feature within the visual worlds of their favorite artists. Everything was soundtracked to artist’s new singles, launching with AZIZAM and Old Phone—two songs from Ed Sheeran’s unreleased album Play.

We extended the campaign by working with popular music creators acrossthe globe. They shared what inspires them and how they use songs to express different moods — showing fans the power of bringing music into their WhatsApp Status.
